A man’s deadly fall down the stairs of a Queens apartment building earlier this year has been deemed a homicide, according to the NYPD.
The incident occurred on Nov. 7, when cops responded to a 911 call about a man who fell down the stairs of a building at 28-04 44th St. in Astoria at around 6:50 p.m.
Upon arrival, authorities found the 60-year-old with severe trauma to his head, and rushed him to Mount Sinai Queens Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
The investigation into the incident stalled for over a month, until the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on Tuesday determined that the man’s death was not a tragic accident — but instead was a brutal homicide.
Now, police have reopened the investigation into the death, though no arrests have yet been made.
An NYPD spokesperson did not announce any suspects in the alleged killing, nor a motive for the crime.
