Police are searching for the two men who robbed a 73-year-old at gunpoint in Harlem on Jan. 12.
According to the investigation, the victim was inside an apartment building at 1390 5th Ave. at around 6:45 p.m, when the two suspects approached and brandished the gun.
The perps proceeded to snag the victim’s wallet, cellphone and approximately $1,700 dollars, before fleeing the scene.
No injuries were reported in the incident, cops said.
So far this year, there have been 16 robberies in the 12th Police Precinct, where the gunpoint theft occurred, according to the most recent NYPD data.
Citywide, cops have recorded 1,625 robberies on the streets of the five boroughs this year, which marks a 9% increase from the 1,491 robberies during the first five weeks of 2022.
