Police in Lower Manhattan need the public’s help in finding two crooks who carjacked a woman and stole a luxury SUV last month.
The NYPD released on Sunday night images and video of the perpetrators sought for the robbery, which occurred at about 3:40 p.m. on Feb. 23 near the corner of West and Barclay Streets, about a block north of the World Trade Center.
According to law enforcement sources, the two thieves approached a BMW X5 at the intersection and hopped inside the SUV.
As they pulled away from the location, police sources said, the suspects discovered a 33-year-old woman sitting in the rear passenger seat. The crook in the front passenger subsequently told her, “Get the hell out of the car.”

Authorities said the thief behind the wheel stopped the SUV, and the passenger-side crook pushed the woman out of the vehicle. The suspects then took off inside the BMW in an unknown direction.
The incident was reported to the 1st Precinct. Police said the woman was not injured in the caper; detectives further determined that no weapons were displayed during the incident.
Cops later located the stolen SUV after it had been ditched in Newark, NJ.
As shown in the video, one of the suspects wore a black hooded jacket with white stripes on the sleeves, black pants and black-and-white sneakers. His cohort wore a dark blue skull cap with the letters NY on the front, a black windbreaker, black pants and white sneakers.
