Detectives are investigating a deadly stabbing in Midtown Manhattan on Saturday night.
Law enforcement sources said the murder happened at about 9:15 p.m. at the corner of West 38th Street and 8th Avenue.
Officers from Midtown South Precinct and EMS units responded to a 911 call of a person stabbed at the intersection. Upon arriving at the scene, they found the unidentified victim, unconscious and unresponsive, with multiple stab wounds to his torso.
Paramedics rushed the victim to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about 35 minutes after the 911 call came in. Police have withheld the victim’s identity, pending family notification.
At this time, no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
