Police are looking for two men who beat a man with a wooden stick inside a Manhattan subway station on Jan. 2.

According to the investigation, the perps approached the 38-year-old victim on the mezzanine of the 168th Street station in Washington Heights, before striking him with the rod multiple times throughout his body at around 9:30 p.m.

Once the victim was lying on the ground, the perps attempted to stab him with the pointed end of the stick, but their makeshift weapon broke before they could inflict further damage.

The suspects then fled the station on foot before police arrived.
