Two men in Queens were shot inside an event space early on Saturday morning, law enforcement sources said.

According to police, gunfire erupted inside Amazura, located at 91-12 144th Place in Jamaica, at about 4:22 a.m. on April 13.

Officers from the 103rd Precinct, in responding to reports of the shooting, came up on a man in his 20s who sustained a bullet wound to his left leg, and a 56-year-old man who had been grazed by a bullet on the right side of his head.

EMS rushed both individuals to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where they were listed in stable condition.

Detectives are now working to piece together the circumstances leading up to the shooting. Sources familiar with the case said the twenty-something shooting victim has so far been uncooperative with investigators.

Amazura, on its Instagram account, bills itself as “NYC’s legendary concert hall and event space.” Hours earlier, it featured performances by King Addies and Bass Odyssey.

So far, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting can call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (for Spanish, dial 888-57-PISTA). You can also submit tips online at crimestoppers.nypdonline.org, or on X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) @NYPDTips. All calls and messages are kept confidential.

The 103rd Precinct reported seven shootings year-to-date through April 7, up from four that occurred at the same point in 2023, according to the most recent CompStat report.
