Police on the Upper East Side are searching for a brute who assaulted an 84-year-old woman while she was walking through the neighborhood over the weekend.
According to law enforcement sources, the incident occurred on Nov. 16 at around 12:44 p.m. when the suspect shoved the victim down to the ground in front of a beauty supply store located at 188 E. 86 St.
After the brazen attack, which took place in the 19th Precinct, the perp kept walking, heading northbound on Third Avenue, authorities said.
It is unclear right now if someone at the scene called 911, but EMS arrived and treated the woman on site.
Law enforcement sources said the perp and victim did not know each other.
Police on Monday released photos and video of the suspect, who remains at large.
The video shows the suspect walking through a store and wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt.
So far no arrests have been made, but the investigation remains ongoing, police said.
