An affordable housing lottery has opened in the heart of Manhattan’s Garment District, this time with 30 newly constructed units.
Located at 339 West 38th St., the newly built 19-story residential building will be affordable to households earning between 40 and 130 percent of the area median income.
Of the 30 units, half are studios ranging from $823 to $3,105 a month; 12 1-bedrooms ranging from $1,374 to $3,317 a month; and 3 2-bedrooms ranging from $1,631 to $3,963 a month.
The building boasts a lounge, outdoor terrace, fitness center, ping pong center, bike storage, tenant storage, conference center, 24-hour lobby attendant, concierge, elevator, two package rooms and it is smoke free. Each unit has its own washer and dryer, dishwasher, high-end kitchen appliances, countertops and finishes, air conditioning, high speed internet and cable or satellite TV.
Additionally, the building it’s close to many markets, movie theaters, schools, public transportation systems, banks, parks, hospital and attractions like Broadway, the High Line and Bryant Park. Rent includes hot water but may not include all utilities like electric cooking and heating.
