An affordable housing lottery waitlist in Harlem with one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms starting at under $1,000 is now taking applications.
Located at the Riverton Square apartment complex at 2156 Madison Ave., the building boasts units that are said to be affordable to households earning between 60 and 80 percent of the area’s median income.
Of the 53 units, 17 are 1-bedrooms ranging in price from $852.80 to $1,706 a month and 36 are 2-bedrooms ranging from $954.23 to $2,048 a month. Outside of rent, tenants are responsible for cooking gas and electricity.
Tenants in these pet-friendly units will have access to a shared laundry room, a playground and other outdoor spaces, an on-site resident manager, and the building has gated access, a security guard, security cameras and an elevator. The building is also close to schools, after school services and a senior center.
