A handful of units have been put on the waitlist for an affordable housing lottery on the Upper West Side.
21 West End, located at 2 West End Ave., opened the waitlist for four studios, ranging from $585-618 a month, and one one-bedroom unit, ranging from $660-768 a month. The waitlist is also open for future vacancies in the building.
Each unit features high-end appliances, in-unit washers and dryers, large windows with views of the city, and ample storage space. Building amenities include a 20,000-square-foot fitness center with a yoga room, a boxing studio and a 60-foot indoor pool and spa, an outdoor terrace, an elevator, security cameras, a screening room, a recycling center, and is pet-friendly with a dog washing station and access to doggy daycare.
Leases started for this building on Oct. 1, 2023, with a 3% increase for a one-year lease or a two-year lease with a 2.75% for the first year and a 3.20% increase for the second year. Those who are approved will be able to make their choice of lease. Tenants will be responsible for their electricity bill.
