The New York Giants are home for the first time in a month as they host the New England Patriots on Sunday afternoon at Met Life Stadium.
The Giants are 3-8, last in the NFC East, yet they’ve still fared slightly better than the shockingly putrid Patriots, who are 2-8 and dead last in the AFC East.

Patriots (2-8) vs. Giants (3-8) Week 12: How to watch
- Date: Sunday, November 26
- Time: 1:00 p.m. ET
- Venue: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ
- TV: FOX
These are the only two teams in the NFL that are averaging below 15 points per game this season. The Patriots are averaging 14.1 points per game while New York, despite posting 31 last week against the Commanders, are averaging 13.5 points per game.
The Patriots, who have scored more than 20 points just once this season are currently on a three-game losing streak, including a loss to the Washington Commanders and a 10-6 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
Big Blue broke their three-game losing streak with that 31-19 triumph over Washington behind rookie Tommy DeVito and his three touchdown passes along with a staunch defense that forced six turnovers.
It remains to be seen which quarterback New York’s defense will be facing, though. Mac Jones was benched at the end of New England’s loss to Indianapolis in Germany and there’s been little clarity as to whether him or Bailey Zappe will be the man under center on Sunday.
“Hope so,” Jones told reporters when asked if he’s starting (h/t NFL.com). “That’s the plan, I think.”
There is still the promise of the Patriots’ defense having a solid day against DeVito and the Giants, who showed their first real signs of competence on Sunday against the Commanders. Head coach Brian Daboll lauded the playcalling abilities of offensive coordinator Mike Kafka for putting the undrafted rookie quarterback in advantageous situations. He’ll have to try and outsmart Belichick to keep it going.
