Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas is expected to miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season after being diagnosed with a left hamstring strain, the team announced on Saturday.
The 23-year-old suffered the injury during the Nets’ 116-110 loss on Thursday night to the Chicago Bulls.
It likely brings an end to a frustrating injury-riddled campaign for the shooting guard, who averaged a career-high 24 points with 3.3 assists. He only appeared in 25 games, however, as he missed nearly two months earlier this season with the very same strained hamstring.
He was by far the brightest spot in an otherwise dim Nets campaign when healthy. He led the team in scoring, which included six 30-point performances and a 43-point showing against the Knicks on Nov. 15. He also recorded his first-career double-double with 24 points and 10 assists on Thursday against the Bulls.
