A new video shared on social media shows the moment that Cleveland Guardian outfielder Myles Straw confronted Yankee fans during an ugly finish on April 23, as spectators tossed beer cans and other garbage at the opposing players.
The incident occurred just after Yankees’ Gleyber Torres took the plate and ended the game on a walk-off single to right field, which scored the base runner on second base.
Despite the favorable outcome for the Yankees, fans in the Bronx began tossing trash at Cleveland outfielders — prompting several Yankee fans to pause their celebration to attempt to calm things down.

One remaining mystery after the game was Straw’s interaction with a fan after he climbed atop the left field fence to confront a fan.
Now, the newly-shared video shows fans heckling Guardian players as they stood near the warning track, before Straw hopped atop the wall and yelled “Hit me mother f—–!”

The following game, which saw the Yankees beat the Guardians again to complete the series sweep, Yankee Stadium managers upped their security, including by stationing a security guard at the bottom of the outfield staircases, and issuing stern warnings to fans regarding their behavior.
The two teams will meet again in Cleveland on July 1.
