Aaron Judge’s assault on the record books is in full swing; with it comes a bit of silverware.
The New York Yankees’ slugger won American League Player of the Month honors for June 2024 after putting together a monstrous showing across 25 games.
Judge led Major League Baseball in RBI, batting average, slugging percentage, OPS, and total bases, as he batted .409 with a 1.378 OPS, 11 home runs, and 37 RBI.
His 37 RBI tied Bill Skowron (July 1956) and Don Mattingly (Sept. 1985) for most by a Yankee in a single month in the last 85 years.
Appearing in 85 of the Yankees’ first 87 games this season, Judge is at or even outpacing his production from a historic 2022 season in which he set the AL home run record and won league MVP honors. He is currently slashing .321/.440/.718 (1.158 OPS) with 32 home runs and 83 RBI.
At this current rate, Judge is projected to play in 158 games this season, which puts him at a pace of 60 home runs with 154 RBI, which obliterates his career-high of 131 set two years ago.
