The L train was shut down most of its stops during the evening rush Tuesday after a person was struck and killed by a train at the Montrose Avenue stop.
The victim has not been identified pending notification of family, the FDNY said.
Per the MTA, the victim jumped onto the tracks.
Trains stopped operating between Eighth Avenue and the Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenue stations at 4:30 p.m., when the straphanger was hit, according to the MTA.
Regular service resumed around 6:30 p.m., the MTA said.
The incident took place hours after the E, F, M and R trains were hit with massive delays after an alleged mugger was struck by a train at the Northern Boulevard station.
