Following the first snowstorm of the year, the MTA was running close to normal service Friday, but delays were still expected.
As part of the agency’s Cold Weather Plan, some subway trains remain underground and some express lines will run local.

Subways
-Northbound 2 and 3 trains are running with delays because of signal problems at Nevins Street.
-Southbound 5 trains are running with delays because of signal problems at Baychester Avenue.
-Northbound F and G trains are running with delays because of signal problems at Smith-Ninth streets.
-Northbound R trains are running with delays because of signal problems at 53rd Street, Brooklyn.
Buses
-All local, limited, select and express buses are running with delays.
-B25, B26, B37, B38, B41, B45, B52, B54, B61, B62, B63, B65, B67 and B103 buses are running with delays in both directions because of traffic conditions in the downtown Brooklyn area.
-Southbound M15, M20 and M55 buses are detoured because of snow removal operations on Broad Street between Water and South streets.
- M15 detour: Via Water Street to Old Slip, left on Old Slip to South Street, right on South Street and regular route.
- M20 and M55 detour: Via State Street into Water Street to Old Slip, right on Old Slip to South Street, right on South Street and regular route.
-Westbound Q49 buses are detoured because of NYPD activity blocking Northern Boulevard.
- Westbound: Via 92nd Street, right on 35th Avenue and regular route.
-Q66 buses are detoured in both directions because of NYPD activity blocking Northern Boulevard.
- Flushing-bound: Via Northern Boulevard, left on 89th Street, right on 31st Avenue, right on 94th Street, left on Northern Boulevard and regular route.
- Queens Plaza-bound: Via Northern Boulevard, right on Junction Boulevard, left on 31st Avenue, left 88th Street, right on Northern Boulevard and regular route.
LIRR
-The LIRR is experiencing eastbound delays averaging 10-15 minutes through Jamaica Station due to congestion caused by a disabled train.
-There are delays and some cancellations on the Babylon and Port Jefferson branches due to weather conditions.
-Buses are replacing trains between Ronkonkoma and Greenport due to the storm aftermath.
Metro-North
-Metro-North will operate a reduced weekday schedule on Friday, with some combined and canceled trains due to the impact of the storm.
-There are delays on the Pascack Valley and Port Jervis lines due to weather-related issues.
