The NYC Pride March is set to step off in Manhattan this Sunday, marking 50 years since the Stonewall riots galvanized the modern LGBTQ rights movement.
While New Yorkers and tourists alike take part in the biggest LGBTQ pride celebration in the world, motorists might find it difficult to navigate the streets of Manhattan — especially since WorldPride and Stonewall 50 are expected to draw a record 2 million spectators.
Be prepared: Here are the street closures for this year’s NYC Pride March.
The following streets will be shut down to vehicular traffic at the discretion of the NYPD between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., according to the city Department of Transportation.
Formation:
- Fifth Avenue between 33rd and 25th streets
- 33rd Street between Sixth and Park avenues
- 32nd Street between Sixth and Park avenues
- 31st Street between Sixth and Park avenues
- 30th Street between Sixth and Park avenues
- 29th Street between Seventh and Park avenues
- 28th Street between Sixth and Park avenues
- 27th Street between Sixth and Park avenues
- 26th Street between Sixth and Park avenues
