Happy National Pizza Day! In New York City, you are mere blocks away from good pizza in any given neighborhood.
On Feb. 9, National Pizza Day celebrates all that is delicious and good about pizza. Whether it’s the hot, melty cheese or the toppings you adorn your slice with, you can almost do no wrong when it comes to pizza (except you, pineapple on pizza people, we won’t even get into that today).
amNY teamed up with Kenny Bollwerk to explore three pizzerias in Queens. Click through the links to go on an incredible pizza journey through the World’s Borough!
- John’s Pizzeria in Elmhurst, an old-school pizzeria that is still run by the mother-daughter team who opened the store in 1965. See more.
- Lupo Rosso in Long Island City, a newer shop that preserves over 200 years of rich tradition in their pizzas. See more.
- Philomena’s in Sunnyside, a classic Queens shop that boasts the best dough for its round and square slices. See more.
